The Internet and digital communications are an essential tool set in the 21st century for education,
business and social interaction. However, the use of these new technologies can put people including children at risk within and outside the work and home environment.

It is important that people are aware of the dangers and ensure they use new technologies in a way which will keep them safe, without limiting their opportunities.

Some of the dangers they may face include:

 Access to illegal, harmful or inappropriate images or other content
 Unauthorised access to / loss of / sharing of personal information
 The risk of being subject to grooming by those with whom they make contact on the internet.
 The sharing / distribution of personal images without an individual’s consent or knowledge
 Inappropriate communication / contact with others, including strangers
 Cyber-bullying
 Access to unsuitable video / internet games
 An inability to evaluate the quality, accuracy and relevance of information on the internet

By the end of the session you will be able to understand:
> The rules to follow to keep safe online.
> Support children/young people & Staff/Volunteers to stay safe online.
> Know who to report concerns about E safety.
> How to create an E Safe environment within the organisation
> Access to policy template on E Safety

This will be an interactive learning experience, where discussions and exercises to establish a better understanding of E Safety.

Free Entry - In the event of a no-show on any of the training days an admin charge of £15 will apply. This will be waived if 48 hours’ (working days) notice is provided.
