Regarding elective classes, it may not be possible to change this selection due to scheduling constraints. If the change of placement is requested for a higher level class in English, Math, Science, or Social Studies, and the student receives a D or lower within the first interim of the new academic year, the student may be moved back to his or her original placement after the first interim date has passed. After the first interim has passed, if the student has a C and continues to struggle, and the teacher feels that the child may receive a D or F for the first marking period, the student may be moved back to his or her original placement at the end of the nine-weeks.
*Please note that our teachers consistently monitor student progress. There are opportunities for students to move to a higher level class based on consistent student performance, and the teacher believes that the student excels above and beyond in his or her original placement and would benefit at a higher level.
