A couple things: last Spring we received around 60 applications and we were only able to accept 5. Yikes! We expect similar numbers this time around, so make sure to show us your BEST work! And make sure to follow all of the directions.
Please understand that although we may LOVE your work, we can not accept all applicants. Our mission is to be a supportive network of filmmakers both in BFC and out.
Also, please note that we are looking for COMMITTED MEMBERS. We meet Wednesdays at 388 Atlantic Avenue and ask that you come to as many meetings as possible. Most people only miss a couple of meetings per season.
Finally, please note we have a suggested $5 APPLICATION FEE. We are diligent about watching everyone's submitted materials, so this is to cover administrative fees for our screening committee.
If selected, there is a $50 per season membership fee, covering rent and other supplies.
