Ebb & Flow Artist Call - Vista Hermosa Park
Heidi Duckler Dance (HDD) beloved Ebb & Flow Festival returns this summer! Ebb & Flow is a free, site-specific community festival of local artists integrating dance, visual arts, music, and technology, focusing on how we co-exist with nature in an urban environment.

We are seeking artists from diverse disciplines (performance art, visual art, design, theater, mixed media, choreography, music, and poetry) whose work centers around our need for connection with nature in urban environments.  The selected artists will create eco-friendly installations and performances lasting 5-10 minutes, exploring the relationship between nature, humanity, and the urgent challenges of our changing environment. Audiences will walk on a designated route through the park and stop to observe the situated offerings. Works may be performed and viewed multiple times in a row to account for this structure. Previous festivals have occurred at LA State Historic Park, Baldwin Hills City Overlook, Exposition Park, and Ballona Creek. Explore what previous Ebb & Flow Festivals have looked like here.

An artist stipend will be provided. A range between $300 and $500 based on the scale of your project and at the discretion of the curators. HDD encourages artists to apply as individuals or collectives. Limit power usage to ensure green performances.
