Call for Submissions: Trans Bodies Trans Selves
Trans Bodies, Trans Selves is a resource guide by and for trans, gender expansive, and non-binary communities. The first edition, published in 2014, included work from hundreds of contributors. We are now working on our second edition, we are seeking visual art and written submissions from trans, gender expansive, and non-binary people that represent a broad diversity of our communities.
* Visual art submissions must be 300 dpi and will appear in the book in grayscale/black & white. We’re seeking a range of visual arts such as drawings, prints, photography, paintings, digital works, comics, political posters, medical or biological diagrams/illustrations. Please include a one-sentence description describing any relevant context about your submission.
* Written submissions should be no more than 400 words. We’re seeking a range of written work including short stories, poetry, and personal narratives that cover a vast array of diverse experiences and identities. This book will be printed in English. If the submission is not originally written in English, please submit an English translation along with it.
We are looking for works on a broad range of topics spanning any aspect of life as a trans, gender expansive or non-binary person. While this book is written from a US-based perspective, we welcome submissions from trans people anywhere around the world. Due to budget constraints, we are unfortunately unable to provide financial compensation.
