About the Friends Stipend Opportunity
In 2026, we offering six stipends in the amount of $600 each.
Qualified recipients selected by lottery.  
This stipend opportunity is intended to support early career professionals and to provide access to Sierra Nevada Field Campus programs to people of all ages who require financial assistance.

Application Schedule
Round 1 applications accepted through February 12, 2026 (Recipient(s) notified by February 15, 2026).
Round 2 applications accepted February 13 - May 15, 2026 (Recipient(s) notified by May 22, 2026).
SNFC Registration is scheduled to open in early February.

Stipend Payment Process
Stipend payment will be made by check to individual recipient at field campus during course week.
Recipients must register for and attend a 2026 SNFC course in order to receive a stipend. Stipend is non-transferable.
