Peer Learning Grant For Pastors and Faith Formation Leaders

Family Faith Every Day invites you to apply for one of our distinguished cohorts, offering an array of benefits and perks for your congregation. Selected congregations will receive funding for work with families and coaching with Traci Smith, Program Director. They will also participate in our cutting-edge research program led by Dr. Dave Csinos. Please read on for more details on how to learn more and apply!

Family Faith Every Day helps families create meaningful worship habits at home using simple faith practices. We empower parents and caregivers of children aged 0-3 through parenting circles, resources, and coaching.

As a part of our mission to help families and churches, we are proud to announce the formation of three peer-learning groups for faith formation leaders and pastors who are passionate about helping families grow closer to God and one another through faith practice.

Our approach is a “train the trainers” approach. As faith formation leaders and pastors, you will teach groups of parents how to make faith practice a part of daily family life. Our program teaches you how to do this, step-by-step, using a new eight-session program using a workbook that works side-by-side with our Faithful Families books. Leaders who participate in our peer-learning groups will receive the workbook and training on how to use it. They will also receive individual coaching, cash assistance for their selected congregations to facilitate the groups, and training through an in-person conference. The entire program, from its beginning stages to our concluding conference, will last three years.

We know convening a group of parents with children aged 0-3 is hard work and requires a significant investment. Many congregations have few, if any, families in the target demographic. We want to work with congregations that already serve families with young children as well as those who are looking to create or grow their programs.

Each congregation selected for the program will designate one leader (faith formation leader or pastor) to participate in group and individual coaching and to serve as point person for the parenting circles within their congregation. Congregations will also receive $5,000 per year for three years ($15,000 total), travel/conference expenses, and a small faith-formation library.

We invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity! Here are a few dates to jot down:

  • The last day to apply is July 5.

  • Grant recipients will be announced on September 3, 2024.
