Join the Truckee River Watershed Council on Sunday, October 20th for a day of river, meadow, and forest restoration. You will be working side-by-side with other volunteers to restore the watershed, protect sensitive areas, plant native vegetation, and more.
Through the registration process, let us know your project preferences and if you are a part of a group. Even if you are part of a group, please note that each volunteer must register individually. We will do our best to meet your preferences, but ask you to be flexible.
The week before Truckee River Day, we will email you about your project - the work you will be doing, where you will meet, and what you need to wear and bring.
Later in the day, you are invited to the Truckee River Day Fair at Granite Flat Campground from 1pm to 4pm to celebrate the Truckee River! All are welcome - restoration volunteers and others. Come ready to have some fun - live entertainment, environmental education activities, art projects and more! Granite Flat is located 1 mile south of Truckee on Highway 89. Presented in partnership with Sierra Watershed Education Partnerships.
To register for Truckee River Day, please complete the following. A reminder that all minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at both the restoration projects and River Fair.
Thank you for helping to restore the Truckee River watershed.
