Questionnaire for immersive virtual Opera experience - ATLANTE project
The ATLANTE project intends to develop a platform for the digitization, intelligent archiving and virtual and augmented fruition of the digitized versions of cultural heritage preserved in museum archives. In this way it will be possible to move among the contents enjoying an immersive, engaging, interactive and multimedia experience. In particular, the contents of the ATLANTE project consist, in an initial experiment, in the possibility of examining and studying physical finds (costumes, props), graphic contents, photos, audio and video from the world of opera from the web or with a virtual reality (VR) viewer in a three-dimensional digital environment or in augmented reality (AR) during a museum visit.

The aim of this questionnaire is to probe your interest in opera and lyric music and in VR and AR technologies and ask for your opinion regarding the creation of an immersive virtual experience related to opera.

OPERA IMMERSIVE VIRTUAL EXPERIENCE

The ATLANTE project aims to develop a platform to enjoy the contents of the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation archive. In particular, physical 3D artifacts (e.g. costumes), graphic content, photos, audio and video of three operas to which Pavarotti was particularly attached will be made available, in three possible modes of use:

- from the web (on all devices): classic search with keywords starting from the selection of the opera of interest and then interaction with digital artifacts in a three-dimensional digital environment characterized as a theater or a museum

- VR virtual reality viewer: first-person exploration of a three-dimensional digital environment such as a theater or a museum hall in which digital artifacts are present, potentially with the possibility of interacting with the artifacts and being accompanied by a narration along the way

- AR augmented reality device (smartphone or tablet): to be used in the visit routes to the Luciano Pavarotti House Museum, proposing augmented and informative content pertinent to a work in the frame

Furthermore, an algorithm that selects and proposes other pertinent content could be integrated into all these modes of use.
