«All candidates must send a complete application to gain access to the competition. This package must include links to videos in which the candidate must perform two opera arias. No links to MP3s or the sending of CDs or DVDs will be accepted. If one of the links fails to function, the candidate will be immediately disqualified without the Théâtre du Capitole needing to contact the candidate again.»
Rules, extract from the article 4 :
« The candidate must specify in the application the list of works he or she has chosen to perform in front of the jury. This programme should only include opera arias. Any other type of repertoire (popular, oratorio, melody…) will result in the irrevocable rejection of the application without the need for the Théâtre to notify the candidate. Transpositions and the translation of texts into any other language are also prohibited.Monolingual programmes (that is to say programmes comprised of pieces whose original texts are in the same language) are not allowed. Each competitor must sing in two living languages.»
-The material display of photographs and audiovisual recordings by all technical processes on all media and in all formats;
-The reproduction and dissemination of photographs and/or audiovisual recordings for worldwide public communication, by any means including over-the-air, terrestrial, satellite, cable, digital or analogue networks, the Internet and social media or any other medium, specifically print media, CD-rom, DVD, etc., either directly or through any third party or authorized organization.
In addition, it is strictly forbidden to make recordings or take photographs during rehearsals and/or during the various stages of the Competition."
In accordance with the provisions of the modified Law N° 78-17 of January 6, 1978 relative to data protection and privacy, candidates have the right to rectify, modify or delete any information concerning them.
