We, the undersigned, are scholars and students in Dutch higher education who oppose all forms of racism, colonialism and oppression and stand against the ongoing forced exile, imprisonment, dispossession, military occupation, war crimes, and settler colonialist violence that are being inflicted on Palestinians by the Israeli apartheid state.

As the ethical responsibility of all Dutch higher education institutions:

1. We demand that Dutch universities end their academic, cultural, and financial relationships with complicit Israeli academic institutions due to their contribution to Israel’s regime of settler colonialism, apartheid, and military occupation.

2. We urge deans and rectors of Dutch universities to publicly distance their universities from, and end any complicit ties with, Israel’s regime of military occupation and apartheid and to speak up for the rights of Palestinian scholars and students.

3. We demand that the Universities of the Netherlands (previously the VSNU), the overarching organization representing Dutch universities, work towards ending their cooperation with complicit Israeli universities via a statement of condemnation of the latter’s complicity in the state-sanctioned system of Israeli apartheid, military occupation, and settler-colonial violence imposed on Palestinians.
