Google TV Developer Device Request Form

Considering building or porting an app to Google TV? If so, fill out this application to let us know you're interested in receiving a Google TV developer device. Make sure to include a summary of what you'll be developing. Accepted applicants will receive a buddy box. Accepted international applicants should expect 4-6 weeks for shipping.

Provide us with your contact information below. We’ll use it to review and process your application, to contact you in connection with the developer device. We might also send you general developer updates relating to upcoming product or feature launches for Google TV and/or communications about your developer activity for Google TV. You can opt out of general developer communications about product launches through an unsubscribe link at the bottom of individual emails, but we’ll still need to contact you with updates relating specifically to your own development activity or the developer device application, as applicable.

GOOGLE TV: DEVELOPER DEVICE PROGRAM TERMS OF SERVICE

Google TV is thrilled to give developers the opportunity to create exciting and incredibly useful applications for television. Google TV allows developers to show how much more can be on TV than just television. Developers are invited to request an opportunity to participate in the Google TV Developer Device Program by completing an online form containing a proposal for an application they’d like to develop for Google TV. Google will review the submissions and select developers with proposals representing a good fit with the Google TV platform. Those developers will receive a Google TV developer device (for instance, by way of example only, a Vizio Co-Star) to use in building the application described in their proposal. By submitting a proposal for review, you affirm that you have read and agree to the Google Terms of Service (http://www.google.com/accounts/TOS) and have read the Google Privacy Policy (http://www.google.com/privacypolicy.html). The Google Terms of Service, Google Privacy Policy, and these additional Program terms are referred to as the Terms below. 1. Participation and Eligibility: The Developer Device Program is open to registered Google TV software developers. Please fill out a form (available here: goo.gl/GkZqm) to register as a Google TV developer. Various instructions, restrictions and guidelines for the Developer Device Program are available on this website. You agree to adhere to the requirements set forth in these materials. Google reserves the right to reject your submission or terminate your participation should you not adhere to the requirements contained in these materials and/or the Terms. Google will contact you if you are selected for participation in the Developer Device Program. 2. Intellectual property rights: You warrant and represent that any content described in the form you submit to the Developer Device Program is your original creation (or an original creation of an entity you are authorized to represent) and does not infringe any third party rights, including without limitation, copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy, and publicity rights. You further represent that the submitted content and the application(s) described by that content are not otherwise illegal or made or submitted in violation of any contractual obligation you might have to a third party. As between you and Google, you retain ownership of any intellectual and industrial property rights (including moral rights) you have in and to your submission. As a condition of participation, you grant Google, its subsidiaries, agents and partner companies, all necessary rights to review and circulate your proposal internally, including a royalty-free and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, and internally distribute your submission and the proposal provided therein for the purpose of allowing Google to evaluate your proposed submission to the Developer Device Program. You agree that Google has final authority regarding all aspects of the Developer Device Program, including the selection of developers who will be considered for program participation. You acknowledge that your submission might include ideas that are similar to those submitted by other participants and/or to ideas, projects and proposal that have been or will be independently developed by Google. You further acknowledge that Google does not need to recognize your submission so long as your idea is not the source of the Google idea, project, or proposal. 3. Privacy: You agree that personal data you disclose to Google, including name, phone number, and email address, may be processed, stored, shared and otherwise used by Google. Your email address will be used to contact you with information regarding your submission to the Developer Device Program. All personal information that is collected from the participant is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy, as may be updated from time to time, currently located at http://www.google.com/privacypolicy.html. 4. Not an offer or contract of employment: Under no circumstances shall the submission of a proposal, its use by Google, or anything in these Terms be construed as an offer or contract of employment with Google. You acknowledge that you have submitted your proposal voluntarily and not in confidence or in trust. You acknowledge that no confidential, fiduciary, agency or other relationship or implied-in-fact contract now exists between you and Google and that no such relationship is established by your submission of an idea under these Terms.
