1101 Fellowship
1101 Fellowship by VegVoyages Foundation is dedicated to empowering educators and advocates who are committed to veganism, animal rights, and environmental sustainability. This fellowship is open to individuals and organizations worldwide, aiming to support those who are driving positive change within their communities.

Equity and Accessibility:

  • Language Flexibility: Understanding that English may not be everyone's first language, we accept submissions in the language you are most comfortable with. This ensures that everyone has the best opportunity to share their advocacy work and ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Digital and Handwritten Submissions: Recognizing that not everyone has access to digital resources, we accept both digital and handwritten submissions. If submitting a handwritten document, please scan or take a clear photo of your work and email it to us. This approach ensures that all passionate advocates have the chance to apply, regardless of their access to technology.

Application Suggestions:

  1. Preparation: We recommend drafting your responses and proposals in a word processor or notes app before submitting them through this form. This allows you to carefully craft and review your answers.
  2. Originality: Your unique voice and perspective are invaluable. Please write authentically and cite any sources or inspirations for your ideas to maintain integrity and originality.
  3. Eligibility: Review the eligibility criteria carefully to ensure you qualify for the fellowship before applying. This ensures that your application is considered.
  4. Spread the Word: If you know someone who fits the fellowship criteria and could benefit from this opportunity, please share this information with them. Together, we can build a stronger, more inclusive vegan advocacy community.
In our commitment to equity and inclusivity, the 1101 Fellowship Program incorporates a 'Privilege Factor' into its selection criteria. This approach ensures that all applicants, regardless of their background, have a fair chance of being selected. Here's what you need to know:

What is the Privilege Factor?

It's a scale from 1 to 3 we use to adjust scores based on applicants' backgrounds, helping to level the playing field for those from less privileged circumstances.

How Does It Work?

  • Level 1 (Low Privilege/Education): For applicants facing significant socio-economic challenges or with limited access to education.
  • Level 2 (Medium Privilege/Education): For those with some educational opportunities but who may still encounter barriers.
  • Level 3 (High Privilege/Education): For applicants with ample educational opportunities and fewer barriers to advocacy.

Why Is It Important?

This factor allows us to recognize and support the incredible work of vegan advocates who, despite facing greater obstacles, contribute passionately to the movement.

We encourage you to share your background honestly in your application. This information will help us understand your journey and ensure that our selection process is as fair and inclusive as possible.

Deadline: Please submit your application by October 1st, 2024. We look forward to learning about your work and how the 1101 Fellowship could support your vegan advocacy journey.
