Public Higher Education in California is at a crossroads. Almost daily, there are news articles about public higher education and the need for reform in terms of accessibility, which includes funding, affordability, preparedness, equity, and opportunities and barriers for success.

We will be holding two regional meetings, one in the valley and one in the city, at which our local committee will highlight the information contained in the state study and moderate our consensus discussions.

Valley: Thursday, February 18 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Temple Judea, 5429 Lindley Ave., Tarzana. Keynote Speaker Raphael Sonenshein, Executive Director of the Pat Brown Institute at Cal State L.A.

City: Saturday, February 20 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the League office. Keynote Speaker Mona Field, former member of L.A. Community College Board of Trustees.

Open to the public. Only League members can participate in the consensus process.
