2017-18 University Tournament Series Officials' Application Form
The British Student Taekwondo Federation warmly welcomes officials' applications for **all four events** in our 2017-18 university tournament series.

Experienced officials are essential to run a successful Championships and we are very grateful for your interest in supporting our charity's events.

Please be sure to indicate each tournament and each discipline you are applying to officiate, particularly if you applying as a both sparring centre referee and as a patterns judge. It is possible to officiate up to one sparring discipline and one patterns discipline per day, per tournament.

Please ensure you are able to arrive before 9am on the morning for each event being applied for. The itinerary for each of the four tournaments may be found on our website http://bstf.org.uk/annual-tournament-series/

This application form is for **centre referees and patterns judges only.** Corner judges/class 3 judges/desk assistants/volunteers please do not use this form, instead apply for these roles via your university team's entry form.

The BSTF hereby agrees: to provide officials lunch and refreshments along with a stipend now increased to £47.50 per official, per discipline officiated at all tournaments; this stipend replaces all previous stipend/hourly/travel allowance rates; to employ medical staff and first aid teams to cover the event; to hold a suitable tournament insurance policy which includes member to member, public liability and personal injury cover for all participants - all participants (players, officials, coaches etc.,) must become day members to take part; shall aim to give at least 7 days notice of modification or cancellation of the event where this may impact on the agreement to officials; to hold all information submitted in this form confidentially and in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.

Officials hereby declare: that you are available to officiate on the date(s) indicated from 9am onward; that all information submitted on this form is true and correct; that you agree to the terms and conditions of our Participant Membership & Code of Conduct Declaration below; that you have the appropriate training, experience and up to date knowledge of the competition rules to officiate the selected discipline(s); centre referees will lead their court's team of corner judges and other volunteers; that you are are fit and able to officiate; you will voluntarily provide your services and act under the direction of the organising committee and their delegates for the full duration of the events; you will arrive in officials attire - sport shoes, black trousers, white shirt, dark tie and optional blazer.

Applications will close once we reach the requisite number for each discipline. Applicants will be informed by email as soon as possible to confirm . Thank you in advance for your application and your support for university sport, it is hugely appreciated!

Participant Membership & Code of Conduct Declaration - All participants by submitting an application agree to abide by the BSTF code of conduct and: act with good sportsmanship at all times; respect the rights, dignity and worth of others and not act in a manner that may intimidate, offend, insult or humiliate another person on the basis of their sex, disability, race, colour, age, religion or national or ethnic origin; maintain high standards of personal behaviour at all times; conduct oneself in an appropriate manner relating to language, temper and punctuality; refrain from any form of harassment of others; refrain from any behaviour that may bring their University or the BSTF into disrepute; and comply with all directions of the event organisers and their delegates pertaining to the management of the event. Individuals deemed to be in breach of this code of conduct may be disqualified from the event and their team penalised, and in the case of serious breaches may be banned from future events at the discretion of the event organisers. The BSTF shall share information regarding disciplinary procedures with the student union of the SU registered university club, their sports department and their university’s admissions department where this is deemed appropriate. Participants grant permission to the rights of their image, likeness, audio and video recordings, and information submitted to be published without payment or any other consideration. Participants participate at their own risk and the organisers and their delegates cannot be held responsible for any injury, loss, theft, violence or damage to participants, spectators or property. By completing this form, the participants hereby agree to the above conditions and applies for BSTF membership to be held for the duration of the event only.
