Okanagan Festival Singers: Audition Request
Skills Required:
  • Good vocal tone
  • Pitch accuracy
  • Must read music
  • Ability to learn medium to challenging music relatively easily
  • Basic sight singing ability
Audition Process:

The audition will consist of the following:
  • A range check
  • Ear training check – sing back a short melody and single notes in a chord
  • Sing a short melody at sight
  • Sing a verse of a simple song or O Canada, unaccompanied

Concerts and Commitment:
  • 2 main concerts per season – late Nov-early Dec and late Apr-early May
  • Occasional smaller performances
  • Weekly Tuesday evening rehearsals from 7:00-9:30 pm
  • Attendance at weekly rehearsals and extra rehearsals in the week prior to the main concerts
  • There is an annual membership fee to help cover music, space rentals, and guest artist and orchestral musician fees.
