Steering Committee members (“Members”) help craft and execute local IPF Atid strategy in chapter cities. The expectations of committee involvement broadly include the following: 

Leadership: Each calendar year, spearhead at least one initiative, join a planning committee, or serve in a volunteer role on the steering committee. Staff will work with you at the beginning of the year to learn and organize events aligned with your interests, such as policy discussions, Shabbat dinners, or briefings.

Communication & Ideation: Participating in group meetings and conversations (email, conference calls, WhatsApp, and other group messaging)

Event Recruitment & Participation: Strategically involve personal networks in event invitations and other communal activities; commit to helping recruit IPF Atidniks and create a local community.

Contribution: Support for the Israel Policy Forum through financial contributions and other means; choose a gift that is meaningful to you.

IPF Atid’s governance structure allows Members to focus on local chapter engagement and growth, while the National Council (comprised of Regional Chairs) helps guide and implement national strategy, facilitate sharing of best practices across chapters, and develop other new national initiatives. IPF Atid’s governance structure is aligned with Israel Policy Forum agenda and activities.

As part of IPF Atid’s Leadership Network, Members have additional opportunities to participate in national programs and endeavors focused on specific projects, issues, and campaigns. Some of these opportunities are exclusive for steering committee members, including Leadership summits, private briefings, delegations to Israel, and workshops. Members will also have access to funding to execute their own programs with staff and Chapter Chair oversight. National Council members coordinate with other leadership structures, namely Charles Bronfman Conveners, to ensure full integration and alignment.

* Understanding and commitment to Israel Policy Forum’s mission

* Alignment with the organization’s core values

* Eagerness to serve as an ambassador for the organization 

* Regular attendance at meetings, planning sessions, and group activities

* Devotion to building a culture of philanthropy and innovation

* Commitment to the continued growth and future success of IPF and Atid. 

* If willing, encourage and invite others to contribute in a manner that holds personal significance for them.
