Arkansas Makers Task Force: Covid19 Response
Arkansas, like many places around the globe, is facing a shortage of masks and other personal protection equipment (PPE).
The Innovation Hub is working with several hospitals and local universities to innovate new solutions to these supply gaps.
Over the past weeks, we have been researching masks, face shields, materials, manufacturing options, supply lines, and more—as well as producing and iterating designs.
We aim to provide feedback to local makers on what hospitals need—and the designs they find most beneficial. Through this effort, we hope to give a platform for the Arkansas Maker community to discuss and develop solutions to every aspect of this uniquely challenging problem.
If you are a maker and have equipment, you are needed. Please join us.
Please fill out the questionnaire below and we will follow up with you about production needs and coordination.
Because there are critical protocols that must be established to ensure the safety of finished PPE devices, we are asking some questions below about your access to gloves and masks.
We ask that you please contact us instead of doctors, nurses, EMTs, or others on the front lines. The Innovation Hub will serve as a central node for this effort and will liaise with medical teams so that they can focus on their work.
