Audition Request Form
Thank you for your interest in Cantilena Women’s Chorale!

Our auditions for the 2019-2020 season are by appointment only prior to Monday, September 9th. Auditions take place in the Sanctuary of First Parish Unitarian Universalist in Arlington. These audition appointments take approximately 15 minutes to include vocalization, pitch-matching, and sight-reading exercises. Singers are asked to prepare a song of their choice to demonstrate vocal quality, technique and musicality. This song need not be a formal aria or art song - a simple hymn or folksong will suffice. Please note that this song will be performed without accompaniment as there will be no accompanist at the audition.

Singers who are successful in the musical audition are called to sing in the first rehearsal on Monday, September 9th. Formal invitations for membership will be extended based on the results of this rehearsal.

To schedule an audition with our music director, Jennifer Kane, please fill out the form below.

Cantilena Women’s Chorale rehearses on Monday evenings, including most holidays, from 7:30-10:00 p.m. at First Parish Unitarian Universalist in Arlington. We prepare two major programs per year as well as smaller performances along the way. Cantilena commissions new works for women’s voices, collaborates with other arts organizations, and hosts open sings. The members of Cantilena come to rehearsal every Monday night because they love of making music together. As a strong and supportive community, singers enjoy social gatherings and friendships flourish through the music making process!
