iOS/Swift Developer for Breadwallet
Breadwallet is looking for an experienced software engineer to work with us to build out the future of money. We’re the leading mobile Bitcoin wallet, and need a few more hands to help us achieve our vision: to be the onramp to Bitcoin.

Our team is a group of Bitcoin enthusiasts. We’re geographically distributed across the US and Canada, with a central office in San Francisco, CA. You’ll be working directly with me, @ssutch, to build out the next version of our iOS app in Swift, porting sections of our old codebase in Objective-C when necessary. Our new designs make our app accessible to millions of more users, and takes us beyond the stage of early-adopters.

The most important skillset for this job is iOS and a strong handle on swift. Candidates must have a firm understanding on how modern iOS apps are built and must have worked on them in the past. We seek to build a scaleable codebase that utilizes patterns like Reactive Programming or other alternatives to reliably managing state. Your input on this topic is welcome.

You will not be required to have experience with Bitcoin. Our underlying Bitcoin wallet library is already finished and in use in our Android product (and open source, check us out on Github). There are just a few concepts that must be learned to utilize it.

Experience with Android/Java and Javascript/React is definitely a bonus. Everyone at breadwallet is a polyglot and you are definitely encouraged to try, and learn, new things!
