Reading about racism
Hi, I'm Martin, a pastor from Aberdeen, Scotland. I need to understand more about racism. Do you wanna join me in that?
I intend to read two books (to begin with, at least) written by non-white authors - one from a Christian perspective, one not. At least one of the books will be specifically focused on the history and current reality of racism here in the United Kingdom.
Would you like to read along? We'll go slow - maybe a chapter a fortnight. Then the idea is as simple as us all meeting up (probably by Zoom) to just share and discuss what we've encountered and learned.
Anyone can take part - no need to be a Christian; although please do understand that one of the books will be exploring this from a Christian perspective.
If you give me your details below - I can promise you they won't be given to anyone. I will share more details by email. You would be invited to join a WhatsApp group but this isn't essential. I'd be very open for input on how best to make all of this work. I'll be honest - I don't really know what I'm doing here.
By filling the below form out, you grant permission for me to hold these contact details and for me to contact you.
