School will be out for the summer soon, which means there will be plenty of time for Summer Reading. Students leaving kindergarten through 8th grade are encouraged to join us for fun at the Winchester Public Library! Our theme this summer is Plant a Seed, Read! We’ve lined up fun crafts and activities that reflect the theme, including a fire and ice show by Mad Science on Friday, July 3, at 10am.
The summer reading program is simple: You read books and earn prizes! Readers will get a McDonald’s gift card for every 100 minutes read and a free book for every 300 minutes. Other prizes and freebies will be awarded throughout the program. The program will take place every Tuesday from 10am-11:15am, beginning on June 9 and ending on July 14. The children will have until August 15 to collect their prizes. As always, library programs are FREE. For details, please call the library at 217-742-3150.
