2021 Portage Invite Registration - COVID Info and Updates
We write this with cautious optimism as contact sports in Michigan resumed recently, national COVID cases decline, and members of our community continue to become vaccinated.

At this time, our intention is to host the 2021 Portage Invitational as we have in the past. However, we recognize there are no guarantees that it will be possible depending on the status of COVID-19 in our community. We plan to monitor the guidelines coming out from the MHSAA and the CDC as well as work closely with our partners at the Portage Public School System to plan accordingly.

We have opened registration in our usual fashion and encourage all teams who wish to participate in the Portage Invitational to do so. We have capped the high school divisions at 45 teams per division and the total middle school registration at 60 teams. Please note that these caps are slightly smaller than in years past.

Please bear in mind that we may have to make adjustments to the event which may limit the amount of runners, teams, and spectators able to join us. We will make every effort to be inclusive and equitable in our decision making, however, if adjustments must be made, participation for registered teams is not guaranteed regardless of when you sign up. We do not make these decisions lightly and are fully committed to the safety of all athletes, coaches, and community spectators and we appreciate your understanding as we navigate this next year together.

In the event we need to decrease the number of teams participating or the event is cancelled, full refunds will be provided to those who have paid their registration fee who will not participate in the event.
