Weekend Walks are multi-block, multi-day events on commercial corridors that promote the use of streets as public space. Community based organizations apply to close commercial streets and provide active programming that highlights local businesses.
Join us in Manhattan's Chinatown to celebrate the 28th birthday of the Americans with Disabilities Act; to instill and reinforce positivity among all members of the disabled community, their caregivers, family, friends and supporters; to change the public perception of people with disabilities; and to tear down the barriers and boundaries that divide us in order to foster a spirit of unity and collaboration.
From 11am to 4pm, visit cultural and information booths throughout Mott and Bayard Streets, enjoy games and activities, as well as taste all the delicious foods that Chinatown has to offer everyone. FREE BOOTH REGISTRATION FOR NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES.
Presented by the Chinatown Partnership, Chinatown BID, Art Beyond Sight, and the NYC Department of Transportation.
