  • This course provides an understanding of the practical aspects of Clinical Trials that will enable students to work in this field of increasing importance. This program is designed for those who wish to have a thorough understanding of clinical trials before entering the field and who have general or specialized experience in clinical trials to experience roles in the design, management, analysis and expansion of clinical trials.
  • The course participants, who aim to work in or enter the fields of clinical and public health research, range in experience from novice to expert. This course is beneficial to principal investigators, research assistants, study coordinators, and students. It consists of a 12-week lecture series (with different modules) and two workshops in January and June each year.
  • The course will have a hybrid format and students can choose to attend in person in Kolkata or online.  Students will be required to confirm before the course start date whether they are planning to attend online or in person with hybrid lectures. Hybrid lectures will be arranged weekly (preferably on Saturday from 3pm to 6pm) once for 3 hours per session where hands-on practical sessions will be taken after 60 mins of theoretical lectures.
  • Certificate will provide after successfully completion of practical assessments of each module.
  • Medical/Homeopathic/Ayurvedic/Healthcare/BSc/ MSc in Sciences/Life sciences/ Biosciences with any of the following subjects-Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Biochemistry, Statistics, Microbiology, Genetics and Biotech with min 50% can apply. 
  • Each module has a registration fee of INR 1000. The inaugural registration fee for each module is INR 500 (after a 50% discount) for Indian participants and $20 for international ones.  Only ten seats are available for in-person applicants.
