What's Your Fire Blight Risk?
Complete the series of questions below to determine your risk factor for fire blight in your orchard.  IGNORE the classification of answers as CORRECT or INCORRECT.  If your score is 25-40 your risk is high and your spray program should be aggressive and proactive to prevent infection and protect your investment.  If your score is 15-25 your risk is intermediate and you will want to be sure to have sprays on hand should weather (several days above 75F) be favorable to fire blight.  If you score below 15 and your risk is not because of the age of your trees and the presence of fire blight in your area you have less reason to be concerned about fire blight and should manage for it as appropriate for your individual circumstances.  WSU's Cougarblight model can help growers time their early and full bloom spray applications to provide optimal protection against fire blight during high risk infection periods.
