SMSV Year 1 2019 Orientation Executive Committee Recruitment

Hello! It is the time of the year where the baton gets passed from one batch to another. We hope that you enjoyed 2018's orientation and are excited to create an amazing orientation experience for the incoming 2019 batch.

We encourage you to apply! Prior experience is NOT necessary, but enthusiasm and dedication are :) In the form below, we encourage you to be unreserved in your answers. We want to help create the best possible orientation camp, so we're not going to get offended if you think that things should have been done differently in 2018. In fact, we want to hear you and your ideas!

The Orientation Committee consists of a 6 person Executive, 2 Subcommittees (Logistics and Programme), OGLs and Station Masters. This recruitment drive is ONLY for executive positions. The recruitment for subcommittees, OGLs and Station Masters falls under the prerogative of the incoming executive committee and will occur later.

Executive Committee positions available:
01 x Camp Convener
01 x Deputy Convener
01 x Head of Logistics
01 x Head of Camp Programme
01 x Secretary
01 x Treasurer (also I/C of sponsorships)

You MAY apply for up to 6 positions in order of your preference. Please answer the relevant questions for the position(s) you are applying for.

SMSV Orientation camp has traditionally been held in the 3rd week of January to avoid clashing with SMSANZ Orientation Camp. However, the orientation camp may clash with SMSV mission trips. If you apply for these position(s), it is your responsibility to ensure that you are present for the entire duration of the camp.

Estimated date of results release ~3 weeks after application closing date
Interviews may be necessary if it is difficult to decide between applicants. Don't let this discourage you, we're all super chill people :)

Note:
Logistics Portfolio: T-Shirt Design, Accommodation, Food, etc
Programme Portfolio: OG meetups, camp games/activities
Treasurer Portfolio: Budget, work with SMSV Exco on obtaining sponsorships
