Ratepayer Bill of Rights Survey
If you are an energy utility customer in Orleans parish you have the right to “safe and reliable service in accordance with industry standards,” guaranteed to by the Ratepayer Bill of Rights, approved in 2007. Utility customers in areas regulated by LPSC have no similar protections. Both the Louisiana Public Service Commission (LPSC) and New Orleans City Council (CNO), currently have open proceedings on ratepayer rights in their jurisdictions, docket R-36630 at the LPSC and docket UD-23-02 at the CNO.

The Alliance is an intervenor in both these dockets and is working to ensure your rights at both the LPSC and CNO reflect the needs of all Louisianans.

We want to hear from you! What's working in the current Bill of Rights and what would you like to see improved? Use this short survey to let us know what you think. We'll incorporate the results of the survey into our recommendations to the LPSC and CNO.
