Advisory Committee members help ensure students are learning the most current skills needed to be successful in their field of study. Bringing employers and educators together on program-specific Advisory Committees provides a venue for sharing trends, updates, gaps, and ideas. We appreciate the proficiency that you have in your field and we value the experience that informs your perspective.

Advisory Committee Members are appointed, in writing, by the administration of the college for a specific term of three years. The Workforce Education Manager will submit the information that you provide below to our selection committee. The committee will review all of the submissions and consider new committee members one time per quarter. Appointment Process

This Application Form is the first step in joining a Lower Columbia College Program Advisory Committee. Once the information provided has been evaluated and approved, you will receive a formal invitation to serve a term of three years by the President's Office.

Feel free to attend advisory committee meetings prior to being formally appointed. You may attend a meeting as a guest. As a guest you can provide feedback. However, you will not be a voting member of the committee until the appointment has been approved by the President's Office.

Applicant Commitment Statement

By submitting this form, I (Applicant listed above) hereby grant Lower Columbia College permission to add my contact information to the list of applicants who are willing and able to serve on a Program Advisory Committee.

At minimum, I agree to:

- Meet two (2) times a year with LCC faculty for about 1 to 1.5 hours per meeting.

- Come open-minded, ready to listen and also prepared with ideas, questions and your observations around what is needed to help LCC students be successful in their chosen career.
