STEM for Girls Volunteer Application

STEM for Girls is an annual event hosted by the Women's Resources and Research Center and Dr. Tina Jeoh. STEM for Girls aims to build girls' self-confidence and foster an interest in STEM fields by exposing children to hands-on workshops, lab tours and demonstrations, and real-life scientists. This program is funded by the National Science Foundation and the WRRC.

About Volunteering
Volunteers are needed to help make this event happen! Volunteers have the opportunity to help with registration, clean-up, set-up, and other logistics. There are opportunities in the weeks before the event also to help prepare.

Volunteer Opportunities
Friday Evening: Setting up signs, tables and other prep

Morning: Set up and registration, clean up from morning activities

Van Driver: Driving students across campus to different laboratory locations

Lunch: Set up, serve and clean up from lunch

Afternoon: Liquid nitrogen ice cream activity and clean up
