ABNM Pilot Program Registration
About CertLink
The American Board of Nuclear Medicine (ABNM) is pleased to announce the launch of CertLink™, a new longitudinal assessment pilot program developed by Member Boards of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS). CertLink™ is being evaluated as an alternative to the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) examination which ABNM diplomates with time-limited certificates currently must pass every 10 years to re-certify.

Based on adult learning theory, CertLink™ will periodically deliver nuclear medicine questions directly to ABNM diplomates. Immediate feedback on submitted answers will include explanations and references with repeated exposure to relevant information as a way to test and expand knowledge. The process will help individuals fill knowledge gaps as well as demonstrate proficiency. The questions will be image rich and high quality with practice-relevant content. The ABNM believes this new method of longitudinal testing with feedback will have greater educational value than the MOC examination.

The ABNM CertLink™ pilot launched in January 2018 and will run for four years. All ABNM diplomates are encouraged to participate. Eligibility criteria and program details are explained in Frequently Asked Questions on the ABNM website. Please visit https://www.abnm.org/index.php/certlink-faqs/ to learn what participation means for you.

All diplomates, including diplomates with lifetime certificates, are encouraged to enroll as soon as possible.

Please complete the registration form below to begin CertLink July 1, 2019.
