A Repair Café is a free, volunteer-run event where knowledgeable repairers help visitors to fix their broken items. Why throw something away when it can be brought back to life with just a little help?!
The Repair Cafe will run from 1-5pm on Saturday 24th January at Westoning Village Hall, where limited parking is available. Turn up any time between 1-4:30pm and one of our clever volunteer repairers will see if they can get your item working again. Admission, refreshments and repairs are free but donations are always appreciated to help us continue our work.
Repair skills available at this event include, amongst others:
- Small electrical items (excludes microwaves)
- Sewing repairs of small tears, holes etc on clothing, fabric, toys
- Bike safety checks, minor repairs and repair advice
- Laptops/Computers and help with other devices (but not screen repairs)
- Watches; adjustment of mechanical and automatic movements, limited stock quartz battery replacement, diagnosis and advice
- Smaller leather goods that need repair or cleaning (not heavy repairs for footwear like re-sole or re-welt).
Electric Guitar cleaning, repair, re-wire and set up
Help us to prepare by letting us know a bit about you and the item that you'd like to bring below.
Alternatively, email us on info@shareflitwickandampthill.org
There may be a bit of a wait at times but our volunteers will do their best to get to you as quickly as they can.
Get more involvedWe're always looking for volunteers (repairers, photographers etc) to join us for future events, so if you'd like to get involved then please email info@shareflitwickandampthill.org or chat to us at the next Repair Café. We'd love to have you on board!
Any help towards the running cost of the Repair Café is hugely appreciated. You can make a donation here if you would like, or there will be donation boxes on the day. Thank you!
