The dates of the 2017 Night Markets are:May 5 (We are not accepting any more food trucks for the month of May. Sorry!)June 2 July 7August 4September 1-----COST
-Product/info vendors (art, apparel, accessories, tangible wares, non-profits, etc) - $25 per market/ $115 ($100 for Garfield residents/businesses) for all dates if paid in full by 4/15
-Processed/pre-made food vendors (orders not prepared on site) - $30 per market/ $145 ($120 for Garfield residents/businesses) for all dates if paid in full by 4/15 (Please indicate in your application if you are a food truck.)
-Prepared/made-to-order food vendors (orders prepared on site) - $50 per market/ $225 ($200 for Garfield residents/businesses) for all dates if paid in full by 4/15 (Most food trucks fall in to this category. Please indicate in your application if you are a food truck.)
*Please note that vendor fees must be paid at least 7 days BEFORE the market date. Payments made 3 days or less before the market date will incur a $5 surcharge. Payments made on the day of the market will incur a $10 surcharge (these payments will only be accepted via PayPal). You will NOT be permitted to set up if payment has not been received. ---
Once accepted, you will be sent a request for payment, which may come from PayPal or from the Night Market Manager. Payment through PayPal should be sent to email@example.com. (Note: You must have a PayPal account in order to use it as a payment method.) Cash and check payments must be received in the Bloomfield-Garfield Corporation office (5149 Penn Ave, PGH, PA 15224) no later than 7 days before the market date.* (Vendor fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE.)
Upon acceptance to the Night Market, you will also be asked to submit a photo/photos of your items, business, or logo that can be shared on our social media pages and web site.
An email will be sent out approximately 48 hours before the Night Market date with additional info/reminders regarding unloading, set up time, parking, etc. Vendor spaces will be assigned upon arrival at the Market and are on a first-come, first-served basis. -----SETUP INFO
HOURS: Setup begins at 4pm (no earlier). Vendors must be loaded into the site by 4:30pm and have their tent up by 5pm (items for sale must be set up by 6pm). This allows us to continue to run the extension cords, etc that are necessary for the Market.
If you are running late, please be sure to get in touch with the Night Market Manager ASAP.
Any vendors arriving after 5pm may not be allowed to set up. Night Market ends at 10pm and clean-up must be complete by 11:00 PM.
LOCATION: Outside on North Pacific Avenue between Penn Avenue and Dearborn Street in Garfield.-----
WHAT WE PROVIDE
We will give you a 10'x10' space to vend and an electrical hook-up for lighting inside of your tent and a separate electrical connection for cooking power (additional fee for separate electrical connection for cooking power), if necessary. Need a tent or table? See the next section.
WHAT YOU BRING
You are expected to bring attractive signage that shows at least your business name, a table, tent, chair(s) and your own tent lighting (we do have strings of lights that can be rented for $5 or purchased for $10). You must also bring weights for your tent to hold it in place. LIGHTS AND WEIGHTS ARE MANDATORY. Vendors without lights and/or weights will not be permitted to set up and no refunds will be given.
We have a limited number of tables & tents that can be rented by vendors from Garfield/Friendship/Bloomfield (ONLY) who do not have access to their own. (We do NOT lend chairs. Please do not ask.) First time rental is at no charge. Additional rentals will involve a $10 charge for tents and a $10 charge for tables.
Night Market staff will only assist with tent/table set up and tear down one time. If you have a friend or family member with a tent/table that you can borrow, we suggest borrowing theirs if at all possible. Tents/tables are rented on a first-come, first-served basis and will only be held for those who have paid their vendor fees. We have 5 tents and 5 tables total.
As you will read in the terms below, if you don't clean up your space after the event, you will be assessed a $100 fee, and if you require cooking power, then we assess a $25 fee to cover the cost of cooking power.-----

ELIGIBILITY: The Garfield Night Market has the right to determine whether a company or product is eligible for inclusion in the Market.
COMPLIANCE WITH LAWS/STANDARDS: All vendors are responsible for reporting their taxable Night Market income in accordance with the Pennsylvania Tax Code. All food vendors must review (download HERE) and adhere to the Allegheny County Health Department Guidelines for Temporary Food Facilities and contact Joe Witzel at ACHD for certification prior to the Market (412-578-7921).
INSURANCE: It is highly recommended that all vendors procure liability insurance for Garfield Night Market event dates. The Garfield Night Market is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged goods or for claims arising out of the operations of concessionaires, exhibitors and vendors at the event.
SANITATION: Vendors must maintain a high standard of cleanliness within their booth, including keeping all service, cooking, and flooring surfaces clean. Vendors must remove their trash after the event. The penalty for non-compliance is $100 per event. Boxes and garbage must be placed in the dumpster behind the BGC Activity Center (113 N. Pacific Ave) and NOT in sewers or garbage cans.
SUBLEASING: Vendors may not sublet their space to another person or sell products/represent the business of another person/entity.
WEATHER POLICY: The Garfield Night Market is a rain or shine event. Please make preparations for possible inclement weather. If the Night Market must be canceled due to severe weather, a refund will be issued for that date. Cancellations are at the discretion of the Night Market Manager. Should the Market be canceled, the Night Market Manager will contact vendors via email no later than 12pm the day of the Market, although every attempt will be made to send out the notification as early as possible.
NO-SHOWS: Please note that if you don't show up to the market and you haven't communicated with us about not being able to vend (to firstname.lastname@example.org), you won't be invited back to subsequent markets. If you are not able to attend, please let us know 24 hours in advance of the Market (6pm the day before). In the case of an emergency, please let the Night Market Manager know ASAP.
