TEDxCMU Volunteer Application

Thank you for applying to volunteer for TEDxCMU 2019! This year, TEDxCMU will take place on March 30th in the University Center and we are in need of around 10-15 volunteers to help with the event the day of!

***As a volunteer, you will get to experience the event behind the scenes, free of cost, without having to purchase a ticket! You will also get a volunteer t-shirt, along with breakfast, lunch, snacks, and a swag bag! We need volunteers to help out with registration, monitoring the auditorium, and to help ensure lunchtime runs smoothly with so many people.*****

The event will go from about 10:30 am to 4:00 pm, but we will need volunteers from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

TED is a nonprofit organization devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. TEDxCMU is a TED-licensed conference at Carnegie Mellon University held in the spring that brings together some of the world’s most bold and innovative thinkers to give the talk of their lives. This immersive, daylong conference shares the talents of CMU’s speakers and performers with the Pittsburgh community to create the magic that is TEDxCMU. This year’s theme, “Ripple Effect”, will explore the ways we can create complex and profound interactions with the world around us that are far-reaching through simple actions and ideas.

Please make sure that you are available on the day of the event before applying. If selected, we will contact you with more information and you will be asked to attend an information session before the event date.
