Registry for Pest Management and Lawn Care Applications
The District has an integrated Pest Management Plan to control insects and other pests inside the buildings. As part of the plan, pesticide applications may be necessary. Lawn care practices on District grounds may also call for the application of pesticides or herbicides to the grass. A registry shall be maintained of parents/guardians of students, students and employees who wish to register to receive written notification no less than four business days in advance before pesticide applications are conducted pursuant to 225 ILCS 235/10.3.
Pesticides subject to notification requirements shall not include (i) an antimicrobial agent, such as disinfectant, sanitizer, or deodorizer, or (ii) insecticide baits and rodenticide baits. (P.A. 93-381, eff. 7-1-04)
