By mount coating, we are talking about the layer that encapsulates the metal of the mount after brazing/welding and before the padding layer and any final painting.

This information will be used in preparation of a presentation about this topic that will be shared at the 2024 IMF conference and to guide collaborative testing projects with the AIC's Materials Working Group.
