Join our national effort to prevent substance-exposed pregnancies and fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASDs). This initiative is a partnership between NASW Foundation and the Health Behavior Research and Training Institute at The University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work, funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

You'll develop clinical expertise, gain networking opportunities, and help fellow social workers and other colleagues address substance-exposed pregnancy with clients.

The process is simple:

Read our 2024 Intersections in Practice article, “Diversifying Your Practice Portfolio: MI and SBIRT to Address Substance Misuse” by Diana Ling and Anna Mangum (pages 32-33; Use code CHAMPIONSW25 for free access until 12/31/25);
Complete a brief post-test for the article to earn 1 free CE credit; and
Receive a standardized presentation that can be delivered at a staff meeting or other professional meeting (provided by UT Austin and not required).
