Survey Atelier OFFoff

Since 2024, Atelier OFFoff has been active again as a project within Art Cinema OFFoff. Last year, this resulted in two workshops (on 3D printing and phytography), film programs, a film installation, a filmmaker-in-residence (Victor Van Rossem) with an accompanying screening and premiere.

In 2026, Atelier OFFoff conducts a field research to make Atelier OFFoff a sustainable project that meets some of the needs within the current Belgian audiovisual landscape. The aim of Atelier OFFoff is to create a meeting place and community that remains involved over the long term and, through activities and exchange, actively helps to shape space for experimentation within a thriving film culture. To this end, Atelier OFFoff wishes to develop its own activities, but also to use its platform to draw attention to other organizations and thus engage in exchanging and expanding knowledge.

With this survey, we want to reach everyone with an interest in experimental film who feels the need for such a network/community. You may be a filmmaker, artist, curator, writer, researcher, audience member or technician, or have ambitions within experimental film culture. The reasons for belonging to this community can vary, and that is what we hope to gauge through this survey. We’re listening carefully, and what you share will directly influence the next shape of the atelier.
