June 2019 Production Permission Form Due by Thursday January 24th
Dear Spotlight Families,

Preparations are now well underway for this year's production. In order to allow ample time for costume orders to arrive, we need to confirm who will be participating. Those of you who have been with us before will find that there are several BIG changes this year, so please read this letter in full. If this is your first show, the amount of information surrounding the production may seem overwhelming, but we are always here to help you! A detailed production packet will be distributed as the performance date approaches. Please email or call our office manager Meredith, meredith@spotligtdance.net or 425.241.3388 with any questions or concerns that you might have.

Spotlight Dance & Performing Arts Center strives for the highest degree of professionalism and talent in our productions. Our annual end of year production offers our students a professionally directed performance that allows them to present to their family and friends the result of the hard work, dedication and progress they have made throughout the year. It is a chance for the dancers to shine in front of family and friends!

Due to the increasing popularity of our productions (sellout crowds for the last 4 years!) and in an effort to keep the show length reasonable for audience members we are thrilled to announce we will be holding 2 performances this year! Show assignments are noted for each class below. A lot of thought and consideration went into show assignments and they cannot be revised.

CAST A: Saturday June 15th 6pm
CAST B: Sunday June 16th 4pm

Performances and dress rehearsal will be held at Foster High School Performing Arts Center in Tukwila.

Show Assignments by Class
Participation in the end of year production is a great deal of fun, but it also requires additional time and financial commitments. Both students and parents are encouraged to consider their ability to meet these commitments before deciding to participate. Students dancing in the production must maintain regular attendance in all classes they are performing with so that the student, and the class as a whole, can present their best work. Beauty & the Beast choreography will begin in February and it is very important dancers be present for classes once choreography has begun. It is mandatory to attend all scheduled studio run thrus and dress rehearsals.

We appreciate the commitment our parents and dancers make as they follow the necessary production policies and procedures. Participation is not mandatory, but it is a very important part of our year’s work. Please carefully consider your decision when making this commitment, and be aware of the approximate expenses involved.
