Parent Survey - 2020-2021 Start of School
Comfort ISD is excited to welcome students back to school for the 2020-2021 school year. Guidance for school re-openings has been shared by the Texas Education Agency as the situation with COVID-19 continues to change. Please keep in mind that as the situation with COVID-19 continues to change, the guidance provided by TEA will also continue to change.
In order to help us plan for providing instruction for the upcoming school year, please complete the following parent survey. If the choices are the same for each of your students, you may complete just one survey. If you have different preferences for multiple students, you may submit different surveys.
There will be two learning options for the 2020-2021 school year (at this time) - (1) the traditional in-person learning on campus or (2) at-home learning. The at-home learning option is provided for families who have health and safety concerns with sending their students back to school. The district grading policy for both learning options will be the same numerical grading system that was in existence before the COVID-19 school closures.
Parents choosing the Traditional In-Person learning on campus should be advised that we are working on developing the suggested safety protocols for all aspects of the daily school experience. Your feedback about your plans for your student will greatly help us in our planning for the upcoming school year.
Certain electives that require hands-on activities may not be offered for At-Home Learning and we will help students select other alternatives for coursework as needed.
As we receive further guidance, please keep in mind that students enrolled in At-Home Learning may not have access to extracurricular activities such as Theater Arts, Band, Athletics, etc. These classes and activities may only be available for students who attend the Traditional In-Person school on campus.
There will be a certain amount of time required to stay in At-Home Learning (typically the end of the grading period); more information will be provided as these plans are developed.
What grade level will your student be enrolled in for the 2020-2021 school year?
Which start of school option do you plan for your student to follow?
Traditional In-Person Learning on campus (Traditional Classroom Experience)
At-Home Learning (Virtual Learning Exprerience)
My student will not be returning to Comfort ISD
If you choose Traditional In-Person Learning, will your student be relying on the school bus for transportation to and from school?
