Governor Brian Kemp has extended the state's Public Health State of Emergency amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic along with extended coronavirus safety efforts.

An executive order from June 29 extends Georgia's Public Health State of Emergency through 11:59 PM on August 11.

A second executive order issued June 29 -- which runs through 11:59 PM on July 15 -- continues the requirements on social distancing, bans gatherings of more than 50 people unless there is six feet of distance between each person, and requires sheltering-in-place for the medically fragile and those living in long-term care facilities.
