In order to prevent the catastrophic war to the world, the integration of Europe was introduced as a method to European countries since the World War II. However, the road toward it was not smooth, and had created another platform for power struggling within the region. The term “Euroscepticism” thus was coined as well and influence the European integration strategy as well as the European academia, for instance the interaction between three power states, France, Germany and the United Kingdom in the European Union.
Dated back to the Brexit Referendum held in the UK in 23rd June, 2016, the result was 51.9% in favor with 48.1% against to leave the EU by its citizens, bringing a stunning bomb to the world. Thus, the UK Prime Minister Theresa May triggered the Article 50 of the Treaty of European Union, notifying the intention of the UK to leave the EU to the European Council in accordance with the article. The European Council held its meeting for response and confirmed the guidelines for negotiations as well as the EU position and principles toward such issue. Recently the 585 pages of the draft withdrawal agreement was published, yet whether the Brexit could actually be success with a deal was still remain in question. To sum up, there will be a serious consequence for the political and economic development of the EU if the UK really leave the European Union.
