Apprenticeship combines classroom learning with paid on-the-job training. To be considered for the apprenticeship, you must be employed (or eligible to work) in healthcare, gain acceptance into a CNA program at Lake Michigan College, Southwestern Michigan College, Van Buren Tech Center, or MCTI Benton Harbor and meet all eligibility requirements.
This CNA apprenticeship consists of three phases:
Level One: Certified Nursing Assistant Certification at a local training program
Level Two: Dementia Certificate & Navigating Healthcare Employment
Level Three: Restorative Certificate or Preceptor Certificate (Choose One)
An application through Michigan Works! IS NOT an application to a CNA program! For more information on regional CNA programs, please see the Michigan Works! website to find out admission requirements for all programs.
