Limnology & Oceanography Letters, Limnology & Oceanography Methods, and Limnology & Oceanography (L&O) journals publish high quality manuscripts in the field of aquatic sciences. Therefore, this honor is made available for scientists with studies in the field of aquatic sciences. If your work is in a different field, you will not be considered for the Publication Honor.

Please note that two types of authorship are mentioned in this application, first author and corresponding author. While applicants can share
first authorship with another scientist,
the joint first author, herein referred to as the secondary applicant, must be another early career scientist. Applications in which the secondary applicant is not an early career scientist (as defined in this call) will not be accepted.
Corresponding authorship, however, can be shared between you (the primary applicant) and
a scientist in any career stage (your supervisor, for example, the co-corresponding author).
We also advise that, by applying, you agree that the data collected in this form can be reused in the future by ASLO and the Raelyn Cole Editorial Fellows to assess the James E. Cloern Early Career Publication Honor program, and shared publicly to disseminate the program and its achievements. Any data shared with the public will be done so in accordance with ASLO's Privacy Policy, and will be shown de-identified and in the aggregate to avoid the identification of individual applicants.
