(For example, a student from Kentwood who is attending UM Ann Arbor.)OR may be attending college (up through sophomore year) at FSU, GVSU, WMU, GRCC, MCC, KVCC, Cornerstone University, Aquinas College, Calvin College, Grace Bible College, Hope College, Kalamazoo College. (For example, a student from Canton, Michigan, who is attending Hope College.)
o may win this competition only once and must submit $20 application fee.o There is no requirement for music club affiliation.❖ Repertoire:o Choice of the piece to perform is up to the contestant.o Any work, or movement of a work, for piano and orchestra will qualify.o The total playing time must not be less than eight or more than sixteen minutes in length.o The work must be performed from memory.❖ Accompaniment:o Contestant must be accompanied at the competition.o Applicants must provide their own accompanists.❖ Audition Time Notification:o Contestant will be notified of their audition time by December 15, 2018.o Audition time will be randomly selected and are not negotiable.o Contestant arriving after their audition time will be disqualified.o A warm-up room will be provided 30 minutes prior to the audition time.o The competition is open to the public.❖ Application Deadline: December 1, 2018
