C++Online Lightning Talks
Thanks for volunteering to give a lightning talk online at CppOnline!

Please use this form to let us know about the talk you’re proposing.

The lightning talks will run on Thursday 12th March from 19:30 - 20:30 UTC and will take place in Zoom.

Generally, your presentation can be about anything related to C++ or coding in general (within reason) but it must be no longer than 5 minutes. You will be forcibly ejected from the (virtual) stage if you go any longer :-)

Once you have submitted this form:

- Your application will be reviewed and you will be informed if your application has been successful.

- If it's successful, then you will be assigned a new Discord role where you will then be able to access a backstage Lightning Talks Discord channel. If you have any questions or need to cancel your lightning talk, please post a message there.

- At approximately 19:00 UTC on the Thursday, you will receive an email from Zoom with a link to join the Lightning Talk session. Please join at that time so you have enough time to be given a tech check and to be informed of the order you will be presenting in the session.

- If you want to show any slides, please prepare them before the session, and be ready to screen share from your computer using Zoom.

If you have any other questions, please ask in the #general discord chat channel.

Title Of Talk *
Alternative YouTube Title
Please provide an alternative YouTube Title for your session/lightning talk (unless your title already meets the criteria below). We will still brand your talk with the original title, but we'll use the alternative title for YouTube's meta data.

YouTube Titles should be simple, straight-forward and should contain as many relevant keywords as possible. YouTube looks for relevant keywords in the video Title, Description/Abstract & Tags - videos with relevant keywords repeated in all three of these areas will rank higher in search results for those keywords.

Abstract, Metaphorical or indirect titles tend to perform less well, as YouTube isnt able to categorize the content as confidently as it can when it's provided with relevant keywords to index.

Consider the terms that a user might input into a search in order to find your material. Please also note that C++Online reserves the right to modify your talk title for better performance on YouTube. This may include trimming a portion if over the character limit or adding additional keywords for context
Abstract *
Please provide a 20-50 word description describing what your talk is about
Bio
If you are not already speaking at the conference, please provide a 20-50 word biography
YouTube Tags
*
Please provide up to 500 characters worth of tags - comma separated. Also consider that terms with dual meanings should be combined with contextual keywords for better results - i.e the word 'concepts' has many applications and potential meanings, so this should be presented as 'C++ Concepts' for more accurate classification.

Please put the most relevant/core keyword as the first word in the list.
