WHAT: Join Standing Trees for a free guided hike to mature and old-growth forests in the vicinity of the Telephone Gap logging project.

WHEN: Saturday Sept 21st at 10am (rain date Sept 22 at the same time).

MORE INFO: This is a moderately strenuous, 5-mile hike to a stunning and little-known area of the Green Mountain National Forest. Along the way we'll see beautiful mature forests targeted for logging in the Telephone Gap project, as well as a rare (and unprotected) old-growth forest on the edge of North Pond. You'll come away with a new appreciation for why this special landscape has become a flashpoint in the national debate over the future of mature and old-growth forests on federal public lands.
