Nature Lab Room Request Form
The Nature Lab schedules the use of its Main Collection (room 22) and Bone Room (rooms 22A) and our Microscopy & Imaging Lab (room 12). We suggest that reservations be made at least a week in advance (preferably earlier) to assure that needs are met and you are able to secure the space you need. Students, faculty, staff and non-RISD visitors may all use this form.

INDIVIDUALS DO NOT NEED TO MAKE A RESERVATION. USE THIS FORM ONLY IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BRING IN A RISD GROUP/CLASS TO USE THE NATURE LAB.

We are allowing visitors from the public. RISD does not require a face mask to enter but they are encouraged. 

OUR WINTERSESSION 2025 OPERATING HOURS ARE:

Natural History Collection (room 22) and Bone Room (room 22A) :
Mon - Fri:  9:00am–6:00pm
Sat: closed
Sun: 12:00-6:00pm

Microscopy Lab (room 12) & Biodesign Makerspace (room 11):
Mon - Fri: 8:30am–4:30pm
Closed weekends

Charcoal and dust-producing media are not allowed in our Microscope Study Room. Oil-based paints are not allowed in any of our spaces.
