Our Guardians will be assisting the Chicago Veterans for their entire Day of Honor while here in the DC area. Your day with us typically begins at 8:15am and concludes around 7:30pm. With the increased number of Chicago Veterans now being brought on each flight, we invite you to select as many flights as you believe you can support.

We are now fortunate to have Southwest Airlines issue as many Gate Access Passes (GAPs), that allow our DC based Guardians to pass through TSA security to escort their Veteran to the departure gate at the end of the flight day, as we need. We do offer the opportunity for some of our DC based Guardian volunteers to conclude their time with us when we return to Dulles Airport, after their Chicago Veteran has been safely delivered to the TSA Security Check point. If you would like to accompany your veteran all the way to the departure gate, please check the "Yes" option. If you would like the opportunity to depart early when we return to the airport, check the "Yes - Leave Early" option. Please keep in mind, we must maintain a safe level of support until our Chicago Veterans are safely back on the plane, so you may be asked to stay even if you have selected the "Yes - Leave Early" option. If this occurs, you will be notified in advance to ensure your schedule allows for it.

PLEASE NOTE: All volunteers who have indicated their availability for a given flight date will receive an email two weeks prior to the flight asking to confirm if they are still available to serve on that particular date. Once we receive your confirmation of availability, you will be notified that you are on the volunteer roster for that flight.

If you are not available, or you are not sure of your availability for a certain flight date, select "No", and then email us when your availability is known. You cannot edit this form later. The sooner we know your availability, the more likely you will be selected.
