Jobs Not Guns, a violence prevention nonprofit, is partnering with the Eastern Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, Carpenter Contractor Trust, and the National Association of Minority Contractors – Washington Metropolitan Area Chapter (NAMC-WMAC) to bring a one-of-a-kind job fair to Prince George’s County. Jobs Not Guns brings the full wrap-around services needed to remove barriers for high school students, adult job seekers, and workforce development partners, high-road employers seeking the best-qualified candidates, and job applicants from all over the county under one roof. Already a monumental success in Washington D.C., Jobs Not Guns is actively pursuing Prince George’s County as the next major hub to give workers and employers an equal playing field and help build the next generation by preventing gun violence through wealth-building and employment opportunities.
